can someone help me with the nx80/v of mine.
the problem is that the unit cannot be turned off.
it keep on restarting, even though ( of course..) I push down the on/off
button.
i tried everything.. soft reset, hard reset, full batery discharge, and even putting the unit on hold. it keep on restarting, based on the period of time that I set earlier , under 'preference', which turns off the device at max 3 mins.
the worst part is that the unit not only unable to be turned off, its method of restarting is by soft resetting itself.
meaning that theres a sony logo, a sound, and then, the annoying time and date setting page.
having under 1 week of warranty left, i rushed the unit to sony malaysia's customer service. i wrote on service slip, saying that 'device cannot be turned off'.
after getting a call, saying that the unit is repaired, i went to pick it up.
the funny thing is that when i got there and read the technician's comments,
it read 'unit's battery seems to be drained. please recharge. if problem still occurs, please advice customer to send along charger'.
duhhh, of course the battery is drained. the thing won't turn off... and now i'm supposed to send my charger too.
i wasted the whole week of warranty period. and now i have to pay for the service charge.. thanks a lot, sony malaysia...
p/s: sorry for the 'essay type' thread. but i'm really  . sorry again.
p/s: thanks for any replies.
