UTFSF - use the ****ing search feature

Basically, you'll need to get the off the MS/CF via Data Import; rename the extension as per the numerous guides on these forums (from .MQV) then use Quicktime.

i already know how to do that, i want to play it with windows media player, not quicktime. if you don't know how to play it with windows media player, don't tell me anything. i did "UTFSF" and know how to do it for quicktime, but if you had read it correctly, you'd have seen that i want to use windows media player. if it is not possible, that is fine, i just wanted to know if it can be done.

Windows media cant play MOV or MQV videos.

What you can do is buy the Quicktime Pro, that lets you save the MOV files as AVI, and once on avi, you can play them on Windows Media.
