NX70v Newbie - what to get next?

I ordered a NX70v this morning. should come in a week or two.

I also ordered a Lexar (?) 128mb Memroy stick for about $50.

What should be next? Are there any programs that are very useful? any other accessories that I will end up wanting right away?

I can wait until April on the WI-FI card and still get the rebate. Blue tooth is not necessary right away.

Any recommendations?

I have a Battery Extender, so when I am on a transcontinental flight I can keep my Clie Charged up (or a travel charger also)

Whence you do the above everything else will look so bland so customize it with Colorize (http://palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=58F52D78-D16B-43C9-87960D4BF56500E3&prodID=46384)

When in Tablet mode you will miss the APPS Buttons, so many of us use Okeys (http://palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=58F52D78-D16B-43C9-87960D4BF56500E3&prodID=45479) I LUV the sticky key options when you type.

-THERE are so many ways to customize your VG area & Status bar (mine has a MACosX theme :D )

What jmg said, however you might want to check out launcherx instead of zlauncher

Might as well try MegaLaunch4, I'll recommend Agendus6 and Contact4 for OEM replacement. Also get PowerRun and McPhling. For web page I use RepliGo 1.1

Acid Image is good for loading images fast

If you like the look of the Clie Launcher but still would like to custimize things such as the Wallpaper, Graffiti Skin, color, and a few things here and there, I recommend the following:

Colorize: Changes colors on pop-up windows background etc.

TnSilkChanger: Its allows you to create skins using JPEG Images
and interchange easily all skins you have

CodeDiver and WPDiver: Allows you to add any JPEG image as
a "wallpaper" to any program. My
favorite!

I dont like all the other launchers because they remind me of Windows. If I wanted windows I would have bought the PPC.

found it too late)

AvantGo: although many wouldn't agree with me, its great for
viewing off-line webpages. warning: they are still in its
beta stage but if you wait long enouph it will be worth
it,Plus it free! can't beat that.

Have you looked into getting a case? There is a thread on the NX forum designed specifically for cases. It depends on what suits your needs.

Yes, wait before acquiring any apps, unless you like spending money;)!

Try out apps first and make frequent rolling backups in case you add something that is not agreeable to your clie. In the excitement of a new possession, take you time. Now is the time to read through some of the threads to try and get a handle on stuff. By the time your new unit arrives, things will go smoother for you. Yes a case is a very good idea that klondike suggested as my clie fell out of my pocket onto a hard concrete floor the very first week. Below is a starter list for cases. My wife and I are also waiting for an adopted child from China - it can take 14 months after all the paperwork is sent in.

2 weeks for a NX70v is nothing!

A good choice for Launcher is ZLauncher it is a bit confusing in the start but when you get used to it it really blows your mind(i.e. including wallpapers,...) Then of course a handy tool for addresses ans SMS(GSMTool or MonkeyMessenger).
A better datebook: D@Glance is freeware or Agendus(this really rocks-MSOutlook on the Palm!!)
Khroma for changing the colors in the Palm OS- definitely works better and more stable than colorize. I hadn't had any reset sionde then- because a this proggy.
OKey to enhance your JogDial and hardwarebuttons.
And maybe Worldmate for weather forecasts, units and currency exchanges and time setting(sets time on your PDA and on the Desktop- if you wish).
