Clie RMC question

I Just upgraded from a 415 to a 665.
My qusetion is this
Why does the newer version of Clie RMC beep at me every time i push a button ? Is there no way to
make it stop short of ripping it out of rom and installing an older version ?

Other than the annoying new version of RMC I am
quite pleased with my upgrade.

Go to "Preferences," "General," and turn "System Sound" off! That should take care of your annoyance and allow you to start really enjoying the best PDA out there when you balance form factor/Price/features. :) ;)

I did that first thing.
I think thats why the beeps are so annoying too me.

JoeCat-- That beeping is annoying...are you using JackSprat to put on the old RMC, or just to delete the new RMC? Brian

I havent done it yet but I will use Jacksprat to remove version 1.2 from rom and then just install an older version probably version 1 that came with my 415 into ram then use Jackflash to put it back on rom.

Backup to memstick with jacksprat.

Version 1.0 will not work on 665 but version 1.01 will. Jacksprat version 2.0beta12 added support to remove RMC from flash so you will need at least that.

The best part of all this is RMC is now silent.

Hi, I am about to sell my Clie T665, and I went to restore the ROM to the original using Jacksprat, and I cannot find it anywhere!!

Would Someone mind zipping up and original T665 Rom backup from Jacksprat?

I would need the folder with the username used for the backup, It shouldn't be that large as it only contains the original ROM contents.

I have a question reguarding the rmc on the 665. I am using the 5.2 version of yishow and when i use the rmc for a little while it gives a fatal exception then does a hard reset on its own.Any ideas??

I believe YiShow 5.3 is the current version. OTOH, you could try ZLauncher 3.01. It works perfectly with RMC. :)
