sync from pc

how do i re-sync from pc to palm.

the battery ran completely out and wiped everything out so i want to re-sync from pc. do i just do a normal sync and pc will do rest or will the palm overwrite the last sync info on pc.

Once the CLIE does a Hard Reset or does something that erases all the data, the next HotSync will automatically restore all the files previously sync'd to the computer (some files might be left out because HotSync doesn't really sync completely all the data). Connect your CLIE via USB cable, run HotSync on your computer, tap the HotSync button, choose your profile/user, and sit back and wait for all the data to transfer back to the CLIE.

I recomend that u first save all the info first in your outlook/palm desktop program as a backup. outlook is easy. just highlight everything and drag and drop it to a folder on your computer. palm desktop Iam not quite sure what to do since I don't use it. maybe print it out. atleast u won't lose it. then go to your hotsync and change it to where hotsync sends the info from desktop to palm. this should definately restore everything to your palm w/out losing the info on your desktop program. that is what i did the last time. worked well for me. but learned the hardway after losing everything once.
