Depends what was running. Hold is not the same as off. As well, the power and memory setup on the Clies do not protect your data at all if you lose power. Make sure you backup and/or sync often.

I just wanted to reiterate what the previous person said. The hold button is really a power saving mode only. If you have an application that is running, it will continue to run till the battery is dead. This is ideal for playing music... it can give you many more hours of listening time.

I have a couple of friends who use the hold switch while they keep the T665 in their pockets. I've told them that if they forget and get an alarm or something that they might lose all data. They do it anyway and have each lost data.

I only use the hold for music.

I don't understand why Sony didn't design the Clies better in regards to their battery behavior. At some point, hold or no hold, the battery will get to a critical level. At that point, it should no longer even turn on (or, if on, then should turn off) and just save all battery power to keep the memory alive.

All of my AAA Palms and Visors did that. I believe that my coworkers Palm Vs do that, as well. On coworker was complaining that her's wouldn't turn on until she went home to charge it for a while. She did and it came back on with memory intact.

That's a good point Rolando. Even if it is only an option, it would be nice. Maybe some programmer can make the hack for this... LOL. I am just a bit jealous that SJ33 has so much more battery power than my T665 now. I wish Sony would sell upgrades like a more powerful and longer lasting battery and more RAM and ROM. That would be worth it to me.

The battery of my T665 is it's biggest problem.

I would easily pay $100 or so for some 3rd party to stick in a bigger battery. Even if it added to the weight.

As it is, I have a car charger and a AA charger, just in case.

I even bought a Belkin keyboard over a Stowaway type, just because you can charge while typing. Unfortunately, you can only use the Sony power cable, not any of the 3rd party ones. That rules out any USB, car charger, or battery charger. It would have been so much nicer to have used a regular connecter instead of the connecter that Sony uses to power the cradle. The keyboard driver sucks, too, but that's another story.

I totally agree... I know there is a vendor that makes replacement batteries, but I don't know if they have longer lasting power. When it becomes available, I am there with you buying my PDA one.

I do think that you are right. Sony lists the voltage at 5.2. I wonder if they are trying to cut cost and turn out more of a profit at our expense. I will wait till they explain why the difference whenever it become available.
