hi,

i will get my new nx70v (replacing my nr70v) with all the communication add-on soon; i don't want to argue whether a nz would have been the better choice (the nx fits my needs better whereas i would like to have onboard bluetooth) but to ask you guys about your experience with the following clié gear stuff:

wlan card (i will get one)
> does it work with common access points for home networks?
> what about speed?

bluetooth stick (i will get one as well)
> how do you use it?
> what are workarounds for the fact that the bt stick blocks the memstick slot? (i.e. how do i transfer a picture in jpg to my phone or is that not possible at all)

speaker cradle
> looks quite sexy to me; anybody using that thinggy?

joypad
> heard that the drivers might not work properly?

keyboard
> heard that it won't work with the nx

any other?

The WLAN card works with my home network system. Faster than Bluetooth.

Bluetooth is more suited for interaction between devices.

Speaker Cradle works, an alternative is to hook up a stereo amp.

Joy Pad = No exp.

Which keyboard? The Belkin G700 now works with beta drivers. The KB11 has to be modified by adding a resistor and a series diode, along with a beta Tungsten keyboard driver, or so some have said.

I hope this answers some of your questions.

-I use the WL100 all the time, primarily with my home network (Linksys WAP11), but frequently at others & Starbucks. You'll find a _lot_ of compatibility info in other threads.
-speaker: there are other threads on this, too - I got one since I needed a spare, and needed extra speaker(s). Sound isn't great, but definitely usable
-game controller: very cool, I use it with Astraware games like Zap and Ricochet
-keyboard: as Larry mentions there aren't a lot of options. I have a KB11, but can't use it. Fellowes is supposed to release an NX compatible keyboard in April

I have a KB-11 keyboard, and I'm the one who post the modification on the forum

see here (http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5580&highlight=keyboard) for the modification.

So, the KB-11 could work on the NX, just have to be good at soldering

Yes, I saw the mod; unfortunately I'm not ready to undertake it :(

I use a MS BT card to check my mail, send SMS and surf (if needed) when I'm away from my computer.

I have most of my apps on Powerrun, except for mail and SMS. If I need one that's on the memory stick I'll move it to RAM first. A bit cumbersome but it can be done. Can't wait for those CF memory drivers though ;)

Marie,

What application do you use for SMS on the NX?

To n2ifp:
How could one connect external amp? Trough headphone jack or are there other options?

Right, headphone jack or even the jack on the headphone controller, better direct from clie though.
