Well, I was very happy today to finally receive my Bellagio cradle ready case for my TH55. I had a heck of a time getting the flip cover off of the TH55 though. While taking the flip cover off, I heard a crack. Didn't know what it was until I finally got the cover off. The plastic bar across the top of the flip cover that is attached to the things that hook onto the TH55, is cracked right down the middle. :(

Another thing I noticed was during the time I was trying to remove the cover, I saw the actual body of my TH55 opening in the middle (at the top between the camera side and the screen side). That was very scary. As soon as I saw that, I stopped what I was doing, turned my TH55 on and checked everything including the camera, to make sure everything was ok. I guess that happened 'cause I was pulling on the flip cover so hard.

Anyway, now everything is OK and I'm happy here with my new case and flip cover-less TH55. Those cap-go-go plugs are very nice too, but are real dust magnets.

Sorry to hear that... :(

I was able to remove my flip cover pretty easily. I accidentaly dropped my TH55 and the cover detached from one side, all I had to do was to remove the other side. I was lucky that it didn't cracked...

Actually, I looked over it again. If I ever put the cover back on, it'll look okay. The crack is only on the backside of the flip cover on the black bar with the attachment arms. Dunno if the sturdiness of the cover has been compromised by this though.

Well thats better...

I put my flip cover back to my TH55 last week. I had it for about one month without it. I dont really like it but it makes it look more 'elegant'. I also removed the plastic cover... yes I still had it!!!! I hope the screen doesnt get scratched too easily.

The flip cover is a pain in the a..

I took it off as soon as I got my TH home. It was the very first thing I looked for on the manual.

Granted it looks fancy on the TH55, but I find it too obtructive. Besides, I like my Clie to be as slim as possible... :D

MrNako: Which case are you currently using, if any?

I found that, for whatever reason, the screen scratched much much easier on my Clie TH-55 than it did on the T665C that it replaced. In the few days I used it without a screen protector I added two scratches to the screen, which was something that did not happen often on my older Clie. I have added a BoxWave ClearTouch (http://www.boxwave.com/products/cleartouch/index.htm) to my screen and I am much happier now. Plus, it makes using the stylus on the screen much less of an exercise in ice skating, and Decuma is now more accurate for me.

I'm still using the flip cover on my TH55. I find it collects fingerprints easily but would rather use it than a separate case, and I need the screen protection as it rides around in my pants pocket. It's thinner to use the supplied flip than to add a whole separate case.
