Tried, but did not seem to have lansync option on the Clie, maybe I'm brain dead? Have done it before on a palm.

I definitely NOT an expert on this but I managed to get wi-fi sync to work ... I have NOT managed to get wireless surfing to work but I can hotsync wirelessly!
Looking at the CLIE, here are the settings ...
I made a NEW wireless LAN profile called HOT SYNC ...
Network ID = [blank] .... CLIE will reset this to [Any] ... just leave the space BLANK
WEP = None
[Infrastructure] ... NOT Adhoc
Go to Advanced Setup ...
Ip address = Auto
DNS Address = Auto
PowerSaveMode = NOT enabled (I don't think this really matters ... )
Press [OK] ...
Go to HotSync on the launcher ...
At the [LOCAL / MODEM] option click on [Modem]
Use the pull down menu to go to [Modem Sync Prefs] ... click on it ...
Two options .... choose [NETWORK]. Press [Okay].
Pull down menu to go to [LANSync Prefs] .... click on it ...
Two options ... choose [Local HotSync]. Press [Okay].
Pull down menu to go to [Primary PC Setup] ... click on it ...
Under [Primary PC Name] enter TWO EXPLANATION Marks ... i.e. this ... [!!] ....
Under Primary PC Address I have [10.0.1.20] ... I think I got this from going to the RUN menu on the computer (if windows, press [Start] ... go to [run] type in .... okay, I forgot but it's something like [configip] ... maybe you can get the info from checking your network connection or just look for it in the HELP section of Windows. If you still have problems I will check when I get home tonight.
Under [Subnet Mask] just leave it EMPTY.
Make sure the wirelss LAN setting (below the Hot sync button) uses the same profile you just set (because this might be different to the profile you use for web surfing or whatever else is going on ... maybe ... )
Press the Hotsync 'logo' and it should work ... a firewall MIGHT block the hotsync but mine asked me if it was okay to accept and I set it to 'Always accept' from the Clie.
There are some details here, too ... but the setup is a little different to mine ... if mine doesn't work for you then try this one ...

I might have waffled a bit but if you just practice with settings you will get it ...
Good luck.

The problem is there is so many variables and a lot of settings in a variety of places:)! When you brave one day like I did, I got everything to work with one setting. Heck I can WiFi HotSync from the cradle too, just tap the center Icon in the HotSync app instead of the cradle's button. You can leave it set to modem.

Yes, I think it is very nice of him esp for people who don't have that amount of time to sit around and piddle with it.
