mpeg's not playing all the way through

I don't understand whats going on. I created the two folders MSSONY/MOML0001 on the root of the MS. Dropped the mpeg into that folder and then renamed it to MOV00001.MPG. It shows up in Movie Player but it only plays a portion on the video..Any clues....? Thanks in advance..:D

Is it just one MPEG file, or a number of them. It could be the file has a bad frame. It seems that the movie player is very sensitive to errors in video (unlike desktop players) and if there is the slightest problem, it will stop playing.

That might be true I've only tried three mpeg's so far...I'll keep trying others........Thanks

Keyframes...make sure you have those in your source mpeg stream...the mpgs that you convert with the image converter desktop utility must be strict mpeg1/mpeg4 - otherwise you will run into problems or it might now convert at all. You can run it through something like virtualdub beforehand to make sure.
