Hallo,

I use my NX70 for 2 years now and used to read a lot in cliesource.com.
for a long time I didnt sync it because I had USB-problems.

Some weeks ago I installed it all again and set it up with intellisync and outlook.

Of course, I told Outlook NOT TO OVERWRITE the clie, because Outlook is just a backup for me. I set it up to SYNC with the clie.

And now every time I try to sync it outlook tries to delete a lot of earlier schedule-data from the clie. The first time it hit me before i could notice it.

What am I not understanding here? Thanks a lot for your Help !!!

What backup software are you using, Pocket Mirror/Intellisync? Check the prefs to be sure "Desktop over writes Handheld" is not checked. Then get back to us.

Hi nmincone,

thanks for your quick response.

Im using the intellisync-light that came with the clie in 12.2002
*************************************+
I just configured the intellisync - date to:

date range: transfer only future items
conflict resolution: sony clie wins (before this post, I had: "notify me")

Then, I just did another backup. Resulting problem:

What I cant understand is: Why is Intellisync still trying to DELETE entries from my clie datebook??

This is where I am helpless and always press "Cancel", which means I never get the syncing done! ?!?!

Thanks!
omu

One more question, nmincone - I know this basic option "Handhel overwrites desktop" from before.

Could you please tell me where I can re-find these checkboxes?
I think I did it some time ago, but I want to recheck it.

Intellisync is not a very good piece of software. Pocket Mirror from Chapura.com is significantly better and you should definately consider switching.
