disabling launcherx

is there any way to disable launcherx being "launched" every time I hit the home silk screen -- even if i'm not in launcherx?

Go to Launcher X, then choose Menu-Exit Launcher X. You will be taken back to the default launcher, and every time you hit the Home button after that will take you to the default launcher.

i kept exiting by hitting the "applications" icon. little did i realize that exiting via the "menu" would produce different and more permanent results.
