View Full Version : Help: Links unresponsive in Netfront

Has anybody else seen this problem? I have searched for Netfront in the forums and can't find anything similar. I have an NX70V, and my problem is that when I first bring up Netfront (using a WL110) everything is fine, then after a while (usually a very short while) links become unresponsive. I know that they are selecting because the text changes to "selected" (dark background) but nothing else happens. Normally Netfront shows "busy" with animated bars in the top right corner, but when this happens I don't get the "dancing bars". When this happens I usually exit the app and bring it back up, and it will work for a short while again; sometimes I have to turn the pda off and back on to get it to work again. I am using Netfron 3.0 from the cd plus the update from the Sony site. I haven't been too keen on going through all the headaches of installing Netfront 3.1.

Can't anybody help? I think that I also saw one other message concerning this issue, but no replies. My new wl110 card that I paid good money for is going to waste!

Well, if nobody can help then I guess it is time to sell the wifi card that I just bought. I'm tired of messing with it.

Suffer the headache of installing 3.1. Copy to card and then copy to ram using ZLFile Manager or other 3rd party filemanager not cliefiles. (not that much bother surely) and see if issue improves. I would not be happy either if I had stuck with just v3.0

I agree with dps5pt. Suffer a little, gain alot. 3.1 has way fewer problems than 3.0.

Have you tried the usual solution of deleting NF's cache? Many problems with NF (in particular with 3.0) can be resolved by periodically deleting the cache. 3.1 is much better but still needs it occasionally.

Yes, I have cleared the cache, but will try it again. It seems like if I go from one page to another via a link, the links on that new page don't work, but then if I use 'back' to go back to the 1st page, the links on that page do work. I can then change to another page via one of the links on this page, and the links on the new page don't work.
