Hi, got a new SJ33 to replace my aging Palm IIIx and I love it so far.
BUT, I can't get Doc's to Go onto my unit. The SJ33 disk is set up for PC installation only, and the Doc's to Go is an Installer file, with no .prc file until you Install Clie Desktop and sync to your Clie with a user name. Anyone found a way around this? TIA

You could install on a windows machine and copy the prc files from the sony handheld\(user name)\install directory.

Unfortenately, the CD that came with your Clié is useless for the Mac. The only thing you can do is copy the .pcr files to your Clié, but you also need the Docs to go application on your desktop.
On the CD, SONY offers the Standard Edition of the programm. For $29.95, the PC users can upgrade to the Premium Edition that we need for our Mac/Clié duo. So this is the way I managed to make things work : I :
- launched DocTo Go on a PC (I know it's hard, but you have to go through this...)
- noted the registration number ( To be found in the main application window).
- contacted DataViz and became an immediat answer to my questions.
- Downloaded the Mac application-upgrade for my Clié SJ30 (cost : $29.95) by communicating the CD registration number. (see above).
- Installed the application that runs actually to my complete satisfaction.
