Hi guys,

Sorry to bother you here in this forum but it's the best one I could think of and after trying to search for my answer and having no luck, this is the place I thought I should go.

Only on this web site do I get a lot of these green 'double-underlined' words that want me to then click a link and its some "related" ad...

Is this an IE setting? Because this site is the only one I expereince this on, and it is really annoying. I am hoping there is some way to turn this off?

Please help.

Thanks a million. :)

I dont know if it is only IE i use Mozilla and i havent noticed them, maybe i just ignor them though.

Basically it is advertising, 1src gets money and we see those green links. This is the price we pay for this excellent site. Otherwise it could be a subscription sitehttp://www.1src.com/forums/images/smilie/images/smilies/eek.gif.

I don't see them either . . . maybe it's time to switch from IE to . . . er . . . something else? :D

Mozilla is the best. None of the exploites of IE none of the security issues, open source, one of the fastest browsers, built in popup blocker, skinable, etc.

Its what i use and i like it the best.

I posted a message the other day and noticed later that there was a link that appeared where I had typed in the words "cell phone." I was surprised because I certainly had not put in that link!

I guess I feel the same as one of the previous posters: if that is the price we pay for what is essentially "free" content like the articles and forums on 1src, than so be it. Someone is putting a lot of work into this website, and the web hosting certainly isn't without cost, either.

BTW, I don't think that it is just from IE, as I have seen the links with both Safari and Firefox (Macintosh versions.)

Nope, no links here. If cell phone is a trigger, it doesn't do anything for me in Safari. Hopefully this is not a "bug" that Apple plans to "fix". ;)

Strange that I see the word cell phone linked in the post above but not in the one below.
