NX Price Drop?

Isn't it about time for the NX to drop in price?

It's still at CDN$999, and hasn't budged from that price. Have there been any price drops in the US?

I can't see any compelling reason for Sony to drop the prices on the NX series yet.

They have a new device (NZ90) that comes in at above the NX prices points, and two new devices that come in below the current price points (and effectively are 1 for 1 model replacements for existing hardware).

No major holidays (unless you coun the green SJ33 being released for St Paddy's day next week ;), and school is still in session, so no real reason to drop the price from a promotional point of view either.

Pity.

WHAT IS THE BEST NX60 PRICE YOU GUYS HAVE FOUND? I'VE FOUND IT FOR 425 WITH $70 FOR A 3 YEAR WARRANTY AT A PLACE CALLED ABES OF MAINE.

prciewatch has two places with it for $419 but you can get it from sony for $425 and the NX70 for $500. Just go to mysony.com and register click a bit to get 1500 points right not usually 2000 and you can have it in the mail in no time. I've been checking the prices every day and have been waiting for the NX60 to come down. But those are the best deals I've found right now.

As far as a price drop is concerned, I think the NX70 is selling well and Sony simply has no motivation to lower the price.

I thought Sony would have lowered the NX price when Palm lowered the price on a Tungsten by CAN$200. Didn't happen. It also did not happen when Palm threw in a camera for free.

To me that was telling....Palm could have thrown in all sorts of add-in devices or even lowered the unit cost again, but instead chose to give away the camera. To me, this says Palm is aware of the number of units Sony is moving or their focus groups are telling them the PDA/Camera combo is very compelling.

Hy guys,
in Germany the price of the NX70 did drop from 650€(€ is nearly equal the Dollar, 1.019 or so) to 570€.
This is since the NZ-Series is available also in Germany.
Anyway the prices for Accessories didn't change :-(

The NX must be doing well for Sony. You could tell based on certain decisions they have made (such as incorporating a keyboard into the new TG50).

The price had better not drop any time soon... I just got my NX70V! :) Seriously, $425 is a good price for the NX60, and $500 is a good price for the NX70V. I got mine for $505 at Newegg (shipping included).

But wait... I just noticed that it is now $480 at mwave.com (shipping not included); last time I checked it was $509. Now that is a pretty good deal.

Here in Brasov, the NX goes for about 20,130,000 Leu. The price hasn't changed.
