I like that idea. Its the transponder in your car to pay for the drive through that I find scary.

Well, it fits right in with the number of people using WiFi so they don't have to get up and walk 10 feet to their desktop :).
All hail the lethargic potato!

Gee, I guess there might be a reason for us vegans to hang out with meat eaters. They get a big mac, and I get WiFi access...

Just curious, you guys did know about the transponders for the drivethrough right?
Besides, if its a good wifi it might even work in a parking lot.

Ron, oh..sorry Rob, in Singapore where I live, we have transponder in our car. We have "Cashcard" inserted in the transponder and the "amount" in the cashcard is deducted as you move around the city in accordance to a preset charges. The government will be able to trace you whereever and whenever you go...like the big brother watching you stuff. If you don't put the cashcard or if you cashcard is running out of money, a computer will sent you a "traffic violation" ticket.

Wow, that's kind of scary. But I know eventually that'll happen in the US as well.

I don't think so.
Singapore is a pretty restrictive place. You can't chew gum in the country. You will get fined for spitting and not flushing.
I can't see things getting like that in the US. It's every American's right to spit!

Mobil's Speedpass allows you an option to pay for gas this way.

I actually used the transponder on my Keychain though.
