When I copy a file recorded using voice recorder I can't listen to it on my PC although it is a .wav format file. I get a missing codec error or something like that.

I used LP mode and is a 28 min. recording so it is a large file.

Anyone knows about this?

No idea, but since you have to use QT to watch Clie movies on the PC, it's not like adding another app just for sound :)

I can play recorder sound files in both Winamp and WMP. Perhaps you have old versions of these programs and you need to upgrade.

mportuesi; I think you may be recording in SP mode. In this mode, the .wav files can be played in almost any player, including wmp and winamp. But the LP mode files don't seem to be as universally compatible.

I haven't tried LP mode files, that's true. I guess I haven't really seen the need to use LP mode, given how much time you can store with SP on a 128 MB memory stick.

Just wanted to say thanks for this piece of advice. Made it possible to rescue some classic .wav files from my CLIE! Gotta love the search feature.
