I am a LONG time computer/PDA user, but I am clueless about cell phones, wifi, bluetooth, etc.

Where can I get good primer info on this stuff, and what it takes to do?

I want to get a cell phone, but don't know what kind. I want to use my T665 to access the internet sometimes (not a lot), and I want to network my home computer, laptop, and ideally, my PDA.

Help!!

I believe there is, but unfortunately I don't remember them. You can try to search around on the web a bit. You can also read through the wireless forum and do a search on other threads. I realize it's a bit of reading, but there is a wealth of information here.

I don't know if a sled is available for the T665 so as to accomodate a CF WiFi card. Now there is Bluetooth, infrared, or cable connection to a cellular phone that can gain internet access.

I used to go online with my T665 (I have a NX70 now). I bought a cable from supplynet http://www.thesupplynet.com/index.cfm to establish a connection with my cell phone, then I used Eudora Web browser (there are others).

The T665 as well as other Clie models such as SJ20 and SJ30 are all wireless capable using either the IR port or Bluetooth through a cell phone.

I am currently using the IR port to connect my SJ30 to a SE T68i phone. This is a very common setup. I can access emails, browse the web, send SMS, etc. from my Clie.

The following link provides setup information and details about the connection:

As n2ifp indicated there is a wealth of information here. You may have to dig a little but it is worth it in the end.

I appreciate the advice so far, but I think I need a bit more direction.

Is there a good primer on bluetooth, wifi, etc. on the web somewhere? What it all is, terminology, pros and cons, etc.?

Is there a good primer on cell phones, what the various systems are, and using them to surf the net, or as a modem?

Finally, any good sites for networking stuff in general, but especially PDA, cell phone, and computers would be greatly appreciated!

I have used ClieSource as my primary source of information relating to Bluetooth connectivity. I really did not need anything else but your situation may be different. Therefore I am not sure of other sources.
