OK, this is my situation. I have my laptop, and I have some killer Klipsch speaker that I want to be able to play music off of without having to directly hook up my laptop to the speakers. So I was hoping that there is a way that I can stream Winamp to my UX50 through wifi and just hook up my UX50 to the speakers.

Does anyone have any ideas??? I know that I've seen a program before that might have been able to do this, but I didn't look at it with to much detail before, and now I can't find it.

One of my ideas it to stream through pocket tunes through shoutcast or something, but I don't know if it can work or if I can ever have a shoutcast server on my laptop or what. I don't know, but these are just a few of the ideas that first came to my mind.

And of your ideas will be a great help. Thank you very much and have a nice day.

Thank you for your idea, but it does not help me for I am trying to use it on a set of computer speakers and through my computer streaming winamp or another mp3 player through wifi to my ux-50 so I can connect my ux-50 to my computer speakers. You follow??

Any other ideas would be a great help, thank you.

What a waste of a good UX :)

Seriously, while you would probably be better served by a Roku or similar device, Pocket Tunes Deluxe (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&SID=ABC05812-7E95-2C26-29D1A52FF600FBAF&PartnerREF=&prodID=51196) does claim to allow you to do this. I haven't used it, but others rave about Pocket Tunes in general so it comes recommended at least as a replacement for the aweful Clie player.

Thank you for your info on Roku, I've never heard of it before. I just wish there was a way to stay with winamp. I could always shoutcast it to Pocket tunes, but I don't want to make it possible for others to tap in and listen. Hmmmm.

Do you know of anything else like Roku that I might also be able to use as a reciever so I could listen to my tv off my speakers too?? (although I don't have cable)

Just the more ideas I get helps me out a lot. Thank you.

P.S. Ever since Sony stopped making clies, I've kinda lost it all for my clie. It's more lika a paper weight to me more than anything now. Nothing good is coming out for software anymore and I think that palm devices are going to fall short of the mighty smart phones.

There are quite of these roku-like devices coming out these days -- it's a hot category. Go to Amazon and look at the Roku, then see the "What similar items do customers ultimately buy after viewing this item?" and you'll see:# 67% buy this item (Roku HD1000 High-Definition Digital Media Player by Roku (Rate it)) Click for price
PRISMIQ MediaPlayer by Prismiq, Inc (Rate it) $199.99
Hauppauge MediaMVP Digital Media Receiver (Model 1000) by HAUPPAUGE (Rate it) $89.99
NETGEAR Wireless Digital Music Player by Netgear (Rate it) $109.88

And then look at those for other "what other people bought" type stuff. There are various names for these products, but "media receiver" seems to be the most popular. Some I think work with WinAmp, some don't.

I know what you mean about losing it for Clies -- well, kinda. I felt that way about my old Pocket PC. It just seemed there was nothing I really wanted to do with it. I ended up selling it, but thought seriously about getting a USB-Host card for it to make it into a home music server. Woulda cost another $100 though. Got a TFT for my Archos Jukebox Multimedia instead, which I now use exlusively for home music.

Sweet thanx. Very good ideas. I still want to search out any ideas so I can put my ux-50 paper weight to use. So if you have an idea, please tell me, thank you
