A friend of mine bought a T665c Clie today and had this go wrong:
She tried to download the CD programs on my computer and got this message:
An installation on support file
'C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\{BA0F44C2-A883-11D1-AD0A-006097D15E2C}\_LSrES.DLL'
could not be installed.
Access is denied.
So what's up?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Not specifically. It's something Windows didn't like. Rather than figuring out the specifics, it's probably easier to get the install right.
When you say "download the CD programs on my computer" exactly what do you mean. Which programs? If you're talking about the Clie CD, the T665 should come with one and it's easier to install right from the CD. Sorry if this is obvious but once you're installed programs in Windows, you can't copy them to another computer and have them work.

Basically, she bought a T665c home and tried to install the Clie CD programs onto her computer. She ran into the error. I guess I don't know what went wrong.
Try to remove the Palm Desktop for Clie through Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, reboot the PC and reinstall the Palm Desktop for Clie again. If the problem repeats, then try to redo the above steps with different username. This works for me. I found out my username was too long so either Palm Desktop for Clie or the Win98SE didn't like it.
