I just got my KB100 but the packaging does not specifically state that it works with the TH55. Before open it does it indeed work with the TH55? Wonder why it doesn't say that on the package?

Yes it does work with the TH55. I've noticed that alot of software/hardware nowadays isn't specifically mentioned to work with the TH55. Probably because it's the last CLIE that Sony is making (made?). I spent the longest time trying to figure out if the Belkin G700 Keyboard would work with the TH55.... Luckly I check this forum first! :D

Nope, you're not an idiot at all! It's hard to keep all the numbers straight, especially on items that are discontinued and hard to come by any more. The Sony KB-100 is a full-size (think laptop-sized) keyboard that folds up to about the size of the Clie. If I recall, it was labelled to work with the T and TG series among others, which is how you know you're okay with the TH. They all share the same connector. It's a great keyboard: I've had one since my T615 days, and it still works beautifully.

It looks like Brando Workshop still has some KB100's @ $115 a piece.

I saw them at Stapples around $70 but decided to buy the Palm One Wireless keyboard there. They have a promotion where it comes with a nice leather case for $70 also and it is compatible with any future Palm PDA I get that has a IrDA port.
Since this new Sony model apparently does not have Bluetooth I'm likely upgrading to something else when my TH-55/E gets of age...

Off topic, but doesn't the PalmOne wireless IR keyboard normally come with the leather case? The ThinkOutside one does.

I saw the same model at Circuit City and at the same price but without the leather case. Just the keyboard. This leather case has a smaller pouch attached that allows for carrying a PDA. Unfortunately the TH55 does not fit there. Too long. :( But it's good enough to carry other stuff.

My KB100 works great with my TH55. I use it for about 5 hours of heavy note-typing in school. By the end of the day I have to disable the backlight, though :(
I've seen the KB100 on sale at two Circuit City's for $55. One of them was still there today...

Circuit City had/is having a "fire sale" of all Sony PDA accessories. Third time (store) was the charm for me as I scowered the area and found my KB-100 for $64. It is a nice accessory to have! ;)
