Here's the situation. I have a Clie NX-60 and I listen to lots of MP3's in the form of audio books, interviews from ITConversations.com, and audio blogs. When I finish listening to something I delete it and that leaves room for new material.
My problem is that loading new material is currently a manual process. I have to run MS Import on the Clie which makes the memory stick show up as a drive on my PC and then I have to manually copy the files over. This is a pain because the actual download of some of the files is actually done automatically by extracting from RSS feeds with enclosures.
What I want is a program for the PC which serves as a file queue. I have a folder on my PC to dump files that I eventually want put on my memory stick. During a hotsync the utility will see if there is room on the memory stick and transfer files over to the designated directory on the memory stick. If there is not enough room then files will wait until another hot sync when there is room. That way I will always have a full memory stick of material to listen to.
The utility should allow you to select what order to pick which file to put on next (by date or possibly by size) and the maximum amount of space to dedicate to the memory stick folder and how much space to leave on the memory stick.
Does anybody know of a utility that will do that?
** Trivia, I used the word queueing in the subject which is the only word in the English language that has 5 consecutive vowels. :)
