Yes, zlauncher with the xp theme and icons looks a lot like xp. It fools tons of people that think it's some kinda windows pda.

But why would you want to do that??? I thought we all were trying to get away from the whole Windows thing. ;)

Very cool.....if you don't have a UX. I would really love to use that but read there are problems converting it :(
simple Zlauncher + XP theme. But I currently prefer Appshelf for the simplicity

which is better, zlauncher or appshelf? How are they different?
I would have to say ZLauncher, because of the many functions it has, aside from just the looks. Such as shortcuts for running programs directly from MS. Whereas AppShelf is more a straight forward launcher offering the simple looks, but not much function within. But then again, that's just my personal opinion.
I have both launchers, but I like to keep things simple. ;)

type this in google "ispin lile for xp" and you will get freewear that will transform your ux50 into a mini looking laptop with xp on it, it cleverly formats everything into xp like operating system, and best of all, it will not slow the operation down one little bit.

Perhaps it's just me, but I'm not able to find that program/site (or any results) gadgetsrus. If you wouldn't mind posting the files here or just sending me them, I would really appriciate it.

Download iSpin from here (http://www.taptarget.com/products/ispin.html). Still do not understand the fascination with making your handheld look like Windows XP, though.

I would just google Ispin. Then you can get to a page where you can download a nice OS-like Launcher(ISpin) and also a VOIP client for free.
The word needs to be spread about these ideas....

So, I'm trying to sort out the differences between ZLauncher and Appshelf. It seems to me that they pretty much 'look' the same, but that ZLauncher has additional functionality to allow access to programs (esp. in int mem or MS). Am I misunderstanding things? If i've got to drop some cash for the program I'd like to make sure that i get the 'right' one (knowing full well that what's right for one may not be right for another) - basically I'm not trying to start a 'mine's better than yours war', I'm just trying to make a decision. Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
In the interim I guess I'll give this iSpin thing a whirl :-)

When I had my T3 I really liked Hi-Launcher

It is a configurable app that maps the "App" key to a start-up like functionality. Simple, elegant, and it didn't come with the baggage of the other launchers.
Only problem is it doesn't look like it supports the UX

I take that back. It works. I set it up to use the back key as the trigger. I'm glad this thread triggered the thought for me to re seek out this app.
Update:
In fact - mapping it to the back key works great, the scroll wheell works great and pressing the wheel selects submenus.
The nice thing about this app is it come up in front of what you are doing and you can cancel by tapping elsewhere on the screen. It doesn't just replace the "Home Screen" and take you away from what you are doing. It trul;y works like pressing the Start button on windows.
I didn't like ispin. It is more difficult to use than the default launcher. Eye-candy, but difficult to use.
