3 hours and 56 minutes on continuous power. Running Lightspeed at 50 Mhz and backlight at lowest setting. Using Battery Time (freeware) to chart it. Approximately 2.36 minutes per percentage point of charge.
How much are you getting?
Depends on what I'm doing with the CLIE. Mine lasts from around 2-3+ with continuous usage (games, WiFi usage, etc.). I have my backlight settings always on the lowest setting, Power Save mode is on for the WiFi.

I'm getting just a little less than TJ37 is getting... but I have my backlight set at a higher setting.... I wish for more battery life and a little brighter screen... then the TJ would almost be perfect....

Battery Time 1.84 with TJ37 (CSK-002/E1)
(don't know if I have to put Sony sys and wifi update ?)
LightSpeed at 50MHz for all aplication (included BatteryTime)
screen at minimal level, battery fully charged.
I have 4H37 before 10% and 1H15 for charging.
Good day,
Laurent.

For how long have you had your TJ37 Kralisec?...you seem to be getting little power out of your battery!!
You might want to try again with Sony's update.

Also...have you tried turning off beam receive at Preferences?
Since I MSBackup after my test,
I do a hard reset to check: beam receive was on ...
Good day,
Laurent.

I buy it 2 month ago (www.pdafrance.com occasion)
I expect the TJ37 is 4 or 5 month old ...
(but not sure: do you think it's important ?)
I don't understood what you say:
"you seem to be getting little power out of your battery!!"
=> is'it ironic ? (sorry, my English is light ;-)
For me: battery is a very important point of view,
before I use a SJ30: interesting battery time
but my TJ37 looks very horrific ... (for me !)
That's why LightSpeed_2.0 at 50MHz is a good beginning solution
(but how to be happy with 4h37 doing nothing ...just batterytime)
I use chess programme who really suck battery (ok, @240MHz ...)
and I don't speak about wifi: less than 2h,
about camera, video and mp3 ...
Yes: TJ37 is a interesting gadget ;-)
"You might want to try again with Sony's update."
after a look at the description from updated files:
looks not for European version, but I'm interested and I try a test.
Also a test without MS inserted ...
Good day,
Laurent.

Hi Laurent (aka Kralisec)
if you bought your TJ37 two months ago, I'd say it's fairly new. According to other more knowledgable posters, you should get at least 200 charging-discharging cycles out of your battery before you start to notice a decrease in its charge holding capacity.
According to other posters too, the Sony's system update file doesn't work on the European version of the TJ37. You might want to try it, though...but don't forget to backup your files (!).
I strongly recommend you to try out Lightspeed. There's a trial version that you can download from the developer site. Set all your apps to run at 50 Mhz and increase the processor speed on a case by cases basis.
Let us know how it worked.

Hi olivaresfelipe,
- I bought it 2 month ago, but as I said: it's not a new,
after a look at the invoice: my TJ37 was bought 17/04/2004
(2 month for me, but 5 month to be precis)
- For update: I will test as soon as possible
(but as I remember I installe this update without significant result)
I will test also without MemoryStick in slot
and with screen without backlight
- As I explain: I have LightSpeed (beta2) registred installed,
I did a new test with "Beam receive: off"
LightSpeed for all aplications: 50MHz (inclusive BatteryTest: 50MHz)
screen minimum (but not off), I have 4h28 before 10%
and 1h01 for full charge (full charge said BatteryTime: but red led is still on)
=> If I compare with "Beam receive: on" (4h38-1h15) the result is not significant
Good day,
Laurent.
