Hi, I downloaded the TG50 software and I'm trying to delete the old palm software and my computer won't allow me to do it. Every time I try to delete the program it says it's deleted but it stays on my computer. It won't allow me to install the new TG software without deleting the old software. Any ideas on what I can do?

I am not aware on one being required to uninstall old palm software before changing units. Try installing the old back onto your machine then installing the new software. should work. Its what I did when going from an old handspring to a new palm m500

That worked. One thing I had to do was delete my backup file for the S360 because the first time I did it it loaded all my old S360 software on the tg-50. That's what I was worried about, but deleting the backup worked fine.

Actually, I have heard that you almost always have to uninstall the old software when your switching brands. The interface looks the same, but every brand has a different version of the desktop software. Also, as invalidalias has said, it is very often the backup files that are the problem when installing new software or trying to use two pdas on the same computer.

If I were to get my old clie fixed could I conceiveably sync it with my new TG-50 palm desktop software? I assume all I'd have to do is change the username correct? Or will it not recognize the newer palm desktop software - seems very silly to have to run both.

That would probably work.
