I can connect the Linksys BEFW11S4 and the Sony Clie TJ37, but when I enable the WEP, 128 bit encryption, the Sony Clie TJ37 is not able to connect to the network.

I can connect to the Linksys BEFW11S4 using my laptop.

Thank you for your help

Did you try entering the WEP key on the CLIE? To do this, simply go to your Prefs, go to Network, select Wireless LAN in the Service field and tap on Details... In there, select your routers profile name (if no name, tap Scan) and tap on Edit. Under WEP:, select 104/128bit:26 figures(Hex) and a window should pop up asking for the WEP key. Enter your key in and press OK. Try and see if you can connect then.

Have tried putting the WEP 26 hex code in but it still did not work. Tried variations of auto ip, auto dhcp, putting in specific ip address (with .105 at the end), and even putting in the DHCP address as per the "status" tab of the router configuration page.
It worked on another linksys router at a friend's place, a newer g wireless router with the correct WEP code and auto ip and dhcp. When I tried the same settings with my own WEP key, it gave the error of not being able to connect to my network.

I heard some cases about compatibility issues in CLIE w/ LinkSys router. You can try to upgrade firmware of Linksys router first. If still can't solve, then try to use static configuration (NO DHCP, fixed IP address, input default gateway and DNS manually) in both router and CLIE (of course PC's settings are also need to change).

And, did you install Wireless LAN patch? And try to disable "Power save" option maybe help.
