Ouch, just noticed today that my "hold" button is missing. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I worry about it?

Oh boy! Well if you still can use your clie it might not be too bad. Whether you want to send it out to be repaired is something you have to decide.

It hasn't happened to me. If you don't mind your NX screen energizing occasionally, it shouldn't be a big deal, except for audio player use. The hold button turns off the screen, saving your batteries. Without the hold button, the screen will stay on and reduce your playing time. If you turn off the backlight in this mode it will help.

Do you really missed it?

Close the screen and that will serve as HOLD while playing music.

repeating, How did you miss it?

It's missing? Do you mean that it broke off or something? I'm not quite sure what you mean by "missing."

Yes, it is missing and I do miss it... I noticed that I could move the switch by using a stylus to slide the slide back and forth but don't know if it matters that much.

I did get the CompUSA replacement warranty. Don't you think they may help with this problem?

If you use the replacement plan at CompUSA you are going to have to buy another plan for the new unit. For me, I don't think a hold switch would be worth $100 (or $70). If you can still move it with the stylus then at least you still have the function. Closing the lid will turn the screen off durring mp3 playing as avega said.

don't know if it is worth it to use the warranty for a hold switch. I could send it back back to sony right? Of course they would not send me one before I sent it back...I did not think about the fact that the replacement warranty is only usable one time. I don't think the Best Buy one is a one shot warranty.
