I am using Nomad to switch music from a CD to mp3 format.
Then when I try to move the files onto my Lexar 128 MB memory stick it tells me that the format is not supported.

HELP!!!
I don't mind using a different FREE music converter, just that I heard that Lexar doesn't work with the Sony Jukebox.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanx

Use MSImport on your Clie.

Then go to my computer and click on the drive that shows up there.  You'll be able to drag and drop to the MSAudio folder.  IMHO, it's MUCH easier than using the MSExport software.  ESPECIALLY for MP3s.

The MP3 files HAS to be at 44.1KHz and somewhere between 96kbs and 192kbs, sterio, VBR disabled I always rip at 128kbs with the above setting and it works fine.

Thanx, guys.
It worked!!!!!!!!!

One more ?
I want to turn off the LCD screen, to prolong battery life while listening, but as soon as I put off the power the music stops.

Use the "Hold" switch on the side below the JogDial and the Back button.

is it possible to make a 44.1KHZ at 128KB song, a 22KHZ 64 KB, so it will take less space in the memory? can the clie play that format????
Tnx !

It HAS to be sampled at 44.1KHz. You can play with the bit rate to reduce the file size. The lowest I've heard it can go down is 96Kbs.
