I'm looking at selling my NZ90 and purchasing a new one as they are moving them out at clearance prices. A new one will cost me $349.00 I'm also looking at a HP iPaq HX4700.

How many of you would re-buy the NZ90 knowing the shortcomings of the battery and other things after living with it for a while now? I wish the TH55 came with bluetooth and was still available! What was Sony thinking? The TH55 comes with more RAM, updated software, free Documents To Go, and is thinner. Anyway, how many of you think I should purchase another new NZ90 or would you go with a TH55?

I have one thats loaded to the hilt, and love it. I have another nz90 that has a busted screen, and I am not suceeding at finding another one with a good screen to fix mine, so I AM looking for another one.
I find I am using mine daily, so YES I would buy another.

Anyone that has a nz90 either loves it or hates it.
Anyone that hasn't had one doesn't know what they are missing.
The broken one is my 4th.

only trouble gusanitoverde, is your pda is in need of repair, like mine, and you want too much money for it. I bought 2 for 250 each, and they both came with a 512 cf card, and accessories.

These things are cheap and plentiful if you are patient, but I want one now dammit!

Good luck on EBAY, the last one i bought on there I got screwed on.

Yes, I would buy one again.

The 16MB (or so) limit has not cramped my style that much, and my NZ does pretty much every thing I need. I have four batteries, so power isn't a problem. I really like the 2MP camera the more I use it.

I too have thought about buying a spare, and perhaps I will, but I'm holding off for now, waiting to see what the successor to the Palm T3 will be. One things for sure: with Sony gone out of the Palm OS mix, say goodbye to any meaningful innovation...

Tony

Refurbished from Sonystyle does mean brand new. They get them back from the stores unsold so they have to call them "refurbished" but they're still new in the box.

I sold my NZ90 to a very good e-aby buyer. And the unit is not bad after all. But I am just done with it. I would not buy another one, but just as Tony Reynolds said, I am so interested in knowing which will be the successor of the T3, and also I would support that palmOne has not bring any strong inovation like Clie did.

REFURBISHED NEVER means "Brand New" in an unopened box !
Refurbished means exactly that. A refurbished Clie has a sticker on the back CLEARLY stating that fact it is refurbished and come in OEM boxes ( the later may not always apply)
If they where returned from a store UNOPENED they would be sold as brand new NOT refurbished. However what few unopened Clies that where left at BestBuy and other big chains are long sold out.
If you search the NX Forum you will find the topic on refurbs and Online sites selling out of stock Clies !!

I was passing along the information given to me by Ray x7494 at Sonystyle. I asked him what "refurbished" meant becuase I was curious and that was what he told me. He said at this point they are still getting units back and HAVE to sell them as "refurbished" because they are no longer being manufactured.

I believe him because I just bought my NZ90 brand new from COMPUSA in April so I believe there still may be some out there.

I have to disagree. I just received my refurbished nz90 from sonystyle and it is definitely well used. It has scratches (right down to bare metal) everywhere. The flip screen has a lot of "play", and is scratched. I am so disappointed I don't even want to turn it on to see if it works or not. I am going to send it back and ask for a refund.

Dear Sir / Madame,

Would strongly advise you not to purchase another clie nz 90. Instead await the new sony clie vz 90. just released in Japan this week. Recall sony clie has ceased international pda manufacture, instead its to specialise on pdas' for the Japanese market. Prior to purchasing any pda find out which kind best suits your local market

Am carrying out a personal researh into the short comings of the clie nz 90, managed to purchase one, however failed to get hold of the wifi lan card for it. If you have one would you be interested in selling it to me? Or even better give me a price for the clie nz90 including any accessories you may have for it. Thanks for your co-operation. email your response to me at: www.dmaewjn_line@hotmail.com or even contact me on: +447932542826.

Yours Sincerely,
Doctre M.A.E.W. Jn-Line.

I was wondering on how come Sony has not gotten sued because orf the flaws that the unit came with. "unsensitive screeen", hotsync conector loose, and dying orange led, and many other flaws...
Palm got sued because of their defective cradles that would mess up the hotsync tech in the units m500, m505 and m515 by an electrostatic discharge.

did you?

I bought it because I have always wanted it, but the price was too high. When it was selling at $345 (refurbished), I decided to take the plunge especially since it was looking like there would not be any more clies coming. I debated between the ux and the nz. Sony did not have the ux, so it was the nz. I have returned mine. I would still like to buy one. It would have to be new this time. I know Euclidcomputers.com is selling it for $699. The price is still too high, but I may not have any choice. Has anyone buy from Euclid before?
Thanks.

Too much for an NZ.

Get it on e-bay, be patient. Get informed on what you will buy. See the posts on the common failures in this unit and it's advantages. Once again, be patient.

Thanks for the advice. But it is difficult to be patient. I have been waiting ever since it was first released. The stupid thing is I could have gotten it cheaper when it was brand new than now.

I got mine used and in mint condition from the Classifieds section of this board. I have no regrets. Here's one:

Looks like a good one. I would imagine that you could offer $295 and get it.

still love the NZ, it's been 1 1/2 years that I've been using mine... I still don't know of another PDA that has all the features of the NZ. It was definitely ahead of it's time.

I bought the nz90 on ebay with just the charger. Not owning one before, I thought I could get the software at a later date, when I used it more often. I can't find the software or more important the drivers. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to find the drivers & software as I have information on the nz i'd like to back up. If not, should I sell it? mskific@hotmail.com

I would not have bought an NZ90 if I know what I know now, and I bought mine recently at a discount. The battery is simply sub-standard, even if you use a second battery, especially when using the camera, which after all is the real point of the NZ. I love Sony, but this time they bombed.
