Okay - I've gotten over the shock of seeing the SJ22 is not at all what I was hoping!
It looks to me that the SJ22 has the same buttons as the SJ20 - plastic-y. I think I like the look and feel of the SJ30 better. Buttons are some type of metalic material - correct?
I can get an SJ30 locally in Seattle for $230 but I'm wondering if I can get an ultra-bargain now that the SJ22 has been released. Any ideas?
Thanks for the help!

Well, I'd say the buttons will feel the same on the SJ22 as the SJ30. They only look black. The SJ22 and SJ30 are identical, except for the colour of the face plate. Material (alllll plasticy) are the same.

are you sure the buttons on the sj-22 are black plastic? on the sony site, they are shown as silver, exactly as to what the sj-30's look like.

I must have seen a couple of different pictures of the SJ22. It looks like they may have the same buttons as the SJ30 afterall.
Anywho...I picked up an SJ30 at Best Buy yesterday. The buttons are metalic-looking, but still plastic.
Overall I'm super happy with the purchase. I'm thinking that if the SJ22 comes in soon and it looks better, I can always exchange.
One reason I went ahead with the purchase is it looks like the SJ22 doesn't come with Docs to Go....
I may be mistaken yet again though... :\

Oh yeah...and I forgot to add: They're becoming pretty hard to come by! Only one left at the Best Buy I got mine at.
