How do i get my new sj33 to display hires

Hi just got rid of my TJ25 and got myself an old reliable sj33.
But i cant work out why the games i play are in lowres.
The hires assitant in prefs is on but the games (which worked in hires on my TJ25) play in lowres as does the launcher.
Could someone point out how to fix it.

What games are they? There are some games (and programs) that work with the native hi-res in OS 5 but not with Sony's OS 4 hi-res. You can sometimes find versions of the same programs that do have Sony OS 4 hi-res support so you chould check the program's web sites for details.
