Has anyone noticed a problem with the official Belkin G700 driver for the Tunsten T3 and alarms? I think I have identified that with the driver enabled, the alarms don't sound when the machine is off. In other works, the "wake up" function doesn't!
I have twice hard reset my machine and onlt put on the Belkin driver and the alarm only sounds when the machine is physically switched on. This obviously causes a problem with the T3's auto off function as there is no way of putting a nil setting in.
Interested in other people's experiences before I tackle Belkin.
Thanks

An update. Belkin UK said they had never tested this function with a T3 and would do so when they found someone who had the PDA and a keyboard.
Rather than waiting for this, is there anyone who can run this test for me? All I need you to do is to enable the Belkin driver, set an alarm and let it auto shut down. Then see if the alarm wakes up the machine.
Then do another with the driver disabled, set another alarm and see what happens. I found it made no difference with the slider open or shut.
The alam will sound if the machine is on.
Thanks, interested in any findings.

Can anyone help me with what I think is a quite important bug find between the T3 and the Belkin keyboard? I mean, what was an organiser originally for? Not MP3, playing videos etc but for notifying you of an event by way of an alarm.
It would help if the driver turned itself off when you disconnected the keyboard from the PDA. Is this possible to program for anyone?

You can forget about official driver. It's unsupported project with critical bugs.

Thanks Igor,
What do you suggest then to overcome this problem? Is there another driver available that will work with both the keyboard and the Palm "wake up" feature?

My unofficial driver should work much better. http://g700.palmoid.com

Thanks for that, I will download and use tonight. Does this overcome the problem that I think the official driver from Belkin has of disabling the wake up feature? Does shutting the COM port effectively disable the driver?
I have reported this to Tech Supp at Belkin and they may be looking at this but I am surprised no-one else has found this problem. I can't be the only one surely unless it is specific tomy machine and its setup.

Hey dougproctor, someone here on these forums told us that when they spoke to Belkin (dunno if it was Belkin USA or what) they were told to try out Igor's driver. Belkin is now telling people to try Igor's driver. So apparently, they know it's better than theirs.

That fills you with confidence doesn't it! Interested to see if it does the job. It can't do any worse!!

The problem is still there with the oifficial Belkin driver but I downloaded the unofficial Belkin G700/Wingboard/BenQ/Logitech Typeaway keyboard driver for OS5 and it works a treat. Alarms sound as they should do, off or on.
If Belkin themselves recommend this driver it says a lot really for their own one.
Thanks for any input.

Sorry for my ignorance. Thank you, Igor, for the link to your driver.
