Hotsync without using Hotsync

Is there any way to hotsync my sj20 by running an app on my system? like a software hotsync buton on my pc?  Sometimes if I'm in a hurry it's a pain to open the case, unlock the clie and go into hotsync.. without buying another cable or a cradle, I'd love to be able to click on an icon on my desktop and run when I need to.. Any ideas?

Well, aren't we lazy!

Just kidding. The only thing I can think of is getting the USB Cradle. That way, all you have to do is press the button to get the HotSync started. Actually, that should be even faster than starting something on your desktop.

it's only faster if your Clie is not locked. If it acts like my old Palm IIIxe if the pda is locked by a password you will need to unlock it to hotsync. if you have to go through that trouble save your self the mony and take your time (my $0.02)

$20 cable from brando has a button
$20 belkin cable from futureshop/best buy doesn't have a button, is thicker, less flexible, but has a car adapter too. clie also treats it as a cradle and stays on whereas brando cable will not and will still autopower off

$30 Canadian for Belkin cable, I bought for $20 during Boxing Week sale. Is USB + car adapter.
