Ad-hoc wireless for dummies??

I just bought a wireless card for my clie and my notebook has integrated wireless. I looked through the posts regarding adhoc networking, but I can't get a damn thing done right. If anyone has any help for a networking dummy, it would be greatly appreciated. please help!:confused:

Baker1369, I'm writing up my experiences as I use a multitude of ways of synchronising my clie to the notebook incl. using bluetooth as well as WLAN successfully. I know you have looked through the posts, but have another look again as I was able to get it working half the time from the expertise of others in these forums. I will update you once I have completed my findings.
