got the new nz90 with the broken screen charged up, took 20 pictures, dropped to 70%, (all with flash), turn off, back to 97%, 20 MORE PICURES, turn off, 20 MORE PICTURES!!!! all with flash, and battery is at 85%.

there is no sticker on the battery, says smartlithium, 5 digit #.

Oh I have got to get a screen for this thing. Anyone got a new in box screen for sale for a nz90?

I have now taken 70 flash pictures, got a low battery warning, turned off for a minute, on again, 97%, 10 more pictures. Oh man I gotta get a screen and another of these batteries.

I believe it, and you don't need to replace your batteries. (Everyone's NZ-90 does that.) You could install the Clie Cam software update from Sony's site, but it will only reduce the problem, not solve it.

my other (good screen) nz90 gets about 3 pics with flash, on 100% battery. I have never heard of anyone getting 80 flash pictures and keep going.

Same here, if I could get 80 pics with my NZ, it would then be perfect (to me at least :) )

but after checking more, and trying that battery in the pda with the cf and ms sticks in it, there is a huge difference. So, the choice is take the cards out, take a lot of pics, transfer the few that fit on internal to cards, repeat, or suffer along with chitty battery and external pack.

So does having the memory stick in the NZ90 drain excessively from the battery, even if you're not reading/writing from it?
