Considering Sony is leaving the US, and my Sj-33 got drowned by the ocean, I'm on the market for a new PDA. There are 3 things that are high on my priority list. 1) Battery Life 2)Keeping the price below $200 3)size/weight. My whole life revolves around a PDA. It keeps me focused and I prolly use it more than anything I own. I take it everywhere. The SJ had great battery life. Never worried about running out of juice. Seems like the new TJs aren't as good in battery life. My choices are now the TJs. I'm now torn between the TJ-27 or TJ-37. I hear the 27 has a better processor and gives me an extra day of use. I don't play games. Mainly lifebalance and shadow. Is the wi-fi worth the extra $100? My Sj-33 had and mp3 player. I never used it. Should I just get the TJ-27 or splurge for the TJ-37 since Sony is leaving. I find Sony the most reliable. My palm III crashed all the time. I'm thinking PDAs last 2 years before having to get a new one. The TH-55 is out of the question for that reason. Too much money. Whaddya say all? Get the TJ-27?
Thanks,
Danny
The TJ-27 fits you best if you don't require the audio and the WiFi. Just hope that you don't require the features in the future. Battery life is okay on the TJ's. If you don't really need the camera, you can save even more money by going down to the TJ35 instead which goes for $139+ compared to the TJ27 which goes for $160+

For me, the decision was heavily weighted by wifi. I didn't want to rely upon the Hagiwara Sys-Com memory stick wifi card Sony has.
The TJ units are good units. I'm pretty pleased with my TJ37.
However, as I mentioned in a KB100 post, some of the accessories seem to be in short supply in my part of the US.

Got one of these a couple months back.
Good:
Nice chunk of RAM.
Nice color screen (I upgraded from a Handspring Visor Edge).
Size is just about perfect, only a little bigger than my Visor Edge.
Camera is cute, but not really good. You can get a decent pic if you stand really still or put it on a flat surface and have good light, otherwise you get a colorful blur.
Bad:
Battery life is much less than I expected. I have to plug it in every two days or so or it runs out. When it runs out of juice, it deleted all of my data and settings! A re-sync saved got my stuff back on there (even apps, which kind of surprised me). I have a 64MB card, and I think I read somewhere about an issue with memory cards draining the batteries even when the machine is off (I always keep the card in the clie). Still, I could leave my Visor unplugged for weeks ;-)
Not sure I'd get a Sony now that they're leaving the market, makes me wonder about support. I got mine right before they announced their departure from the PDA market. :(
I don't do Wi-fi, and if I wanted to play tunes I'd get an iPod, so TJ-37 didn't fit for me.
The office uses Lotus Notes 6, and I have problems synching with Easysync Pro 4.2.1. I used a third party program successfully, mNotes, but it and others like it cost $70 :(
