OK THIS IS REALLY UPSETTING ME.

I DID A HARD RESET BECAUSE THE CLIE FILES PROGRAM DIDN'T WORK RIGHT.

I WANT TO GET RID OF KINOMA. EVERYTIME I HOTSYNC. IT COMES BACK. HOW DO I GET RID OF THE PROGRAMS ON MY PC SO THEY DON'T HOTSYNC?

Ok, I'll take a stab at this:

The first and easy way is to go to the Main Menu, select Menu/Delete and the App.... but if that doesn't work then. . . .

First let's set some assumptions.....
If you "Hard Reset" (Pwr On with pin in Reset Hole and answer "Yes") you've wiped out EVERYTHING out of your Clie.
If you "Soft Reset (with just a pin in Reset Hole) you still would have all your Apps and Data.
So be sure you Hard Reset. (Sounds like you already did that, but do it again)

On your PC, if you loaded everything as default, your Sony Clie files should be located in something like:
C:\Program Files\Sony Handheld

Within that Folder Level, you should be able to locate another Folder with your Clie's name like:
C:\Program Files\Sony Handheld\flyclieguy

Within that Folder Level, you should be able to locate a folder called Backup which stores EVERYTHING you had on your Clie:
C:\Program Files\Sony Handheld\flyclieguy\Backup

Now all you have to do is delete the App that you DON'T want, ie. KINOMA. Just look for Kinoma.PRC or anything with Kinoma and Delete it.

If all goes well, the next time you HotSync, Kinoma should NOT install itself and you should get back all your data from your last HotSync.

Good Luck!

ok, it worked.

So I had Avantgo and Kinoma and documents to go loaded onto my machine.

One of those or all 3 added up to 7 MB of memory. That does not seem right.

I'm glad it worked for you flyclieguy.

My suggestion: don't load anything you don't use. You'll find alot of them are HOGS.

A good tell tale sign is to look at the .PRC file size BEFORE you actually HotSync. It should give you an idea of how much memory it's gonna take up.

Glad to be of help!!

Some Applications will optimize pictures/movies better than others and you will only find these better Applications by trial and error, reading posts and doing some reasearch.
