Well guys,
After annoying you guys for quite sometime, I seem to have made a conclusion. I'm going for the UX-50 regardless my previous skepticism. However, there are some unsanswered questions on my previous thread (Click here (http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65786&page=2) ) that might affect my decision. I think the the Memory Stick is probably the most important role in my decision as I will be transferring information back and forth to it. Now, the questions still remains, to get refurbished or not? Have you guys had any experiences with purchasing refurbished PDAs? What stores do you recommend? I've heard good things about Staple's prices, but they're all out... :( And finally, you guys have any trouble surfing the net with your UX-50 through your cell phone? I have a BT cell phone, but was wondering if you have any troubles?
Thanks once again, and I hope to return in the future, as a UX-50 owner :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like refurb is your only choice at this point. Where do you know of that's selling brand-new ones?

You can try looking at eBay for brand new PEG-UX50's (they are getting really hard to find now).
Here's one I looked at:

S/E T610 with T-Mobile works fine. The only odd thing is that sometimes connection speed is independent of signal strength.

Here is a copy of my question to the seller you linked to:
I'll never understand. Why do you, and nearly 99% of every other ebayer selling so-called "Brand New" PDA's feel the need to open the box? When I bought MY new UX50 from a retailer, the box was sealed, and never opened. When I bought my Clie TH55 from a retailer, THAT PDA was also in a sealed, never opened box. Please enlighten me as to why, if you never used it and it is truly brand-new you felt the need to break the factory seal and open the box?

OK...here's the lovely response I got from the EBay guy in the link you posted above:
You already have one and youre emailing me to heckle me and waste my
time? get a life a*shole!!
First off I don't have one. But I know a lot of members here are looking for one and I am looking out for them. There have been several HORROR stories from members here who have gotten scammed, or have gotten less than they expected when buying a UX50 off of Ebay. One member here even bought & paid for 2 UX's off Ebay and got NONE.
And for the record, this nice guy never bothered to answer my valid question. Which was (and still is) why the box was opened? Is that such an unreasonable question to ask a seller of a 400 dollar device!?? And warrant a profanity laced email in responce to a perfectly valid question?
You all can decide if this is the kind of guy you want to trust and give 400 or more of your hard earned dollars to. I never would after this experience. :(

Where on ebay does it say you must speak crappy english to sell items on it? I swear, every guy I contact on ebay can't speak properly.

And finally, you guys have any trouble surfing the net with your UX-50 through your cell phone? I have a BT cell phone, but was wondering if you have any troubles?I have the UX50 & a Nokia 3650 with the BT feature. I use T-Mobile and don't have any problems. The phone stays in my pocket and I make the connection using the PDA. Works fine.
There are numerous threads on how to accomplish this as well. (Basically I use Sony's Mobile Manager and NetFront.)
