Try running Disk Utility to reset permissions. This may cure your problems.

WOW - I have my NX70 working great on my iMac and PowerBook without any problems. What Clie are you using? have you installed everything and then reran the installer to missing sync? Are you using the lastest version of MissingSynch 3.0.5? If not you can get the updater here:
http://www.markspace.com/demo/missing_sync_3.0-3.0.5.sit

Good luck and let us know what happens.

Yes - check your versions. I'm running Missing Sync 3 with 10.2.3 perfectly. But I've gathered that if you upgrade to 10.2.4, then you need to make sure you're using Missing Sync 3.0.5.

I'm using a SJ30 and have only had problems synching with apples iCal which is a disappointment as I prefer that interface to the Palm desktop, does anyone have any ideas (I am using G4 iMac with OS 10.2.4)

OK - Stupid question but do you have all the updates for both MissingSync and for iCal? Are you "publishing" your iCal to your .mac account? That might have something... mine was PAINFULLY slow untill I turned that off.
I also prefer iCal to Palm Desktop. I like iCal and Address Book - they have just the right feel but Apple is realy going to do something about speed. My Primary MAC is a 17" 1g iMac and I have a Dual 1.25g G4 and iCal is sooo slow.... it is like I have to work in slow motion when doing anything.... Sorry for ranting...

Please be more specific. What do you mean "not working". Describe the actual symptoms and error messages if any.

I have the latest version of missing synch and iCal, my problems are that all the changes I make on my Clie aren't transferred to iCal (Address book is fine), secondly the times of appointments change (on both the Clie and iCal) after a synch. initially it seemed to be appointments which were after Daylight Saving Time, they all had moved one hour (I don't know if there is a link to DST or not) now the problem is some appointments seem to have moved by several hours or even onto a different day. Now when I try to sync to iCal none of the changes made on the Clie are copied over.

Sounds like an iSync or iCal problem and not a Clie problem. Have you tried the iSync forums at apple.com?

Personally, I won't use iCal till it recognizes Datebk5 categories so I don't have any direct experience syncing to it. Sorry..

I have tried uninstalling palm and missing sync, checking permissions with disc utility, i performed another pram start, and i evan tried a trick per Sony, i placed a recent user file in with the palm file, still no sync. im a bit cross. no idea what to do. any other ideals?

Desperately seeking solutions....

Bigsmoke,
same problem here! I have just now got an NX70V, and it will not sync; running PowerBook 667 with OS 10.2.4 (also bluetooth; could this be doing anything?) tried fixing permissions on my boot disk, reinstalling Palm desktop 4.0. Interesting thing is that my old Handspring Visor did the same thing; worked fine for ages, then just refused to sync; thought it was cos I dropped it, evidently not. I THINK the problem has started to occur since installing 10.2.4...hmmm...any light, anyone??

Bigsmoke,
Got it sorted using missing sync; works fine with everything now - you got it working yet?

Sorry to take so long to get back to you bigsmoke!
Just bought MissingSync, installed it and seems to be fine. Sometimes it does not want to sync, so I cancel and start again. It doesn't seem to sync addresses properly with Entourage, but I think it's an Entourage thing.
Have you tried to sync it on a PC? It's possible something's iffy with your hotsync cable / cradle / NX
