i just read the price on sonystyle japan for th tg50. they have it for 39800 yen. that is only 340us dollars. is this right?

is it right? well, supposing Sony knows how much they are selling their own product for, I would assume so. if Sony follows their normal trend, the TG50 will be more expensive in the States, most likely hover around $370 or $400. then again, Sony does like to surprise people-- a month or so after its release it could be closer to $300.

It is supposed to be released at the same price point as the original T665C - $399. So, if you add a service/replacement plan ($60) and taxes you are going to be around $480. Now, if I could get the money to import a TG50 from Hong Kong with it running an English OS (and having more Flash ROM then most US releases; 8MB Vs. 4MB Here) I would do it.

and wait a few months after that and they'll hopefully drop the price to $300... maybe... if not, i'm just going to have to find a way to "trade" T615 in cuz it "broke."

true, but it is just the information directly copied from Sony HK site... even the images are leeched right from their server...

But why would anyone in US pay $480 plus S&H for a unit they will beable to get the week before it is released in the UK? I understand that one should be weary of getting something like a PDA on Ebay. Although I have had good luck with other things but I prefer to get it locally since the cost works out about the same plus I can take it back with no hazzle.

and the keyboard PEGA-KB11 is compatible. Good news :) .

if the keyboard is compatible than would you be able to use the speak cradle with your t665?

the speak cradle?

just about any cradle works with any clie. i frequently sync my T615 at my friend's house-- he has a T415.
