Hey Peoples!
FYI. In November 2002 I bought the NX70V. I really liked it. It had a lot of good features including the Voice Recorder, which I need for recording long meetings. My batteries would usually drain after 3-4 hrs of recording. I checked th Sony site(and others) to see if they had a solution for this. They do! the PEGA-BC10 Battery Adapter. It uses 4 AA batteries, hooks up to the HotSync port and can either charge your Clie or be used to power the Clie while your in the middle of something. It gave me another 2-3hrs of juice when I needed it most. When I upgraded to the NZ I was disappointed that Sony didn't make, or was even intending to make a Battery Adapter for the NZ. They just want you to buy an extra battery. When you purchased your NZ there is a little accesories pamphlet called Clie Gear included in the box. You will find this item in the pamphlet next to the compatibility chart. Note that the BC10 is not compatible with the NZ. THIS INFO IS WRONG!!! I hooked it up to my NZ & it fits perfectly. I have been getting the same results as I got with my NX. When I called Sony about it to ask them if it was compatible they said NO. When I told them that I had been using it for the past 2 weeks, they were shocked. They said that they would update there database to show this info. So if you don't want to dish out $60-$80 for an extra battery, this definetly great substitute. It cost about $30 from Sony. I have not checked other sites for this product.:cool:
