I was wonering if anyone uses a strap attached to te hook on the opposite sde of the capture button to protect their NR from falls. I would but it seems like it might break. Do you think it will hold if I do use one? Thanks!

I use it all the time. I read e-books and what not on the subway to and from work and feel safest when I've got the strap looped around my hand. Protects from bumps, falls and god forbid, someone trying to snatch it.....

Me too.
It's tricky getting something thin enough through the "slot" but I think it helps prevent dropping it.

I use a little metal chain, like the one on my beeper, with a clip on one end, to make sure it stays in the pocket of my labcoat when I sit down. Prior to this, it would fall out of my pocket and hit the carpet (horrors!)

Yep. I took the strap from my phone and put in on my NR. After all, the phone was free! :D I try not to dangle it by the strap, but I feel much better holding it while walking or working outside, knowing that strap is looped around my wrist.
