View Full Version : Vaja is NOT going to make the ivolution case

I asked Vaja Cases if they would be willing to modify a T665C case to fit my TH55 and the response follows:

"Unfortunately we canīt modify the mold to fix different needs. The only available possibilities are as shown at our website.

By the way, we wonīt be manufacturing the ivolution case for the TH55.

Wow, what a change. Just a week ago, I was told that it was in testing and would be released any day......

wow. They did the same with the UX50. Supposedly they had an ivolution in the works, then just canned it.

they probably didn't know TH55 was cancelled until this week :/

It's difficult to justify R&D for a discontinued line of PDAs, after all! ;)

I have a Vaja case for my T665C and it is the best case I have ever owned which is why I asked the question of them. In that I haven't found anything that does what I want, I wrote Nora another message and asked how many would they need to sell in order to make it worthwhile. If she gives me a number, watch out because I'll be hustling everyone to buy one and the turkey poop green one goes to wellsjs!!!

was surprised to find it gone :(
Guess I'll try one of the others, or maybe the sena case.

Anyone have a preference of the 'mono-colour SO81' vaja or the 'two-tone SO83'?
Is one thicker?

It's been gone for about two weeks. I noticed it, sent them an email, and was assured that it was due to be released any day. Oh, well, seems like they've changed their story. :(

wellsjs I know you are going to be disappointed, but I heard back from Nora@vaja and they are not willing to re-consider so you'll have to find another company that makes a case in turkey poop green.

Actually I was quite disappointed in her response. I asked a very specific question, i.e., how many orders would it take to get Vaja to make the case. Her response, "Our Design Dept. has decided on not releasing an ivolution case for the TH55. Currently, weīre developing other cases for new devices which are about to be released in the market. Thank you so much for your interest in our products."

Hmm, i'm trying to decide what case I should get for my upcoming TH-55 (2 more days!!! :-)) I have a Sena for my SJ-22 and have been pretty pleased with it. It's sturdy, but I don't like the snap closure. However 1) Vaja is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!! I'm sorry, but I won't shell out $80 for a case!! and 2) I really don't like the TH-55 cases that you have to completely remove the flip-cover to use the camera. I'm wide open to suggestion, though...I've looked at Global Source...too big. Krussell does the flip thing for the camera...Bellagio does the flip, as does Covertec (although that one looks pretty nice). I dunno...what does everyone else think?

I think Vaja is focusing on their new partnership with PalmOne. I bet they are creating cases for the upcoming releases. It seems to be affecting their delivery time for other cases as well. I ordered a case for my iRiver H120 which should have been 30 days delivery and it was over 5 weeks before they shipped it.
