Can sandisk MS pro play atrac?

I got a sandisk MS pro 256 MB however sonic stage won't read it. So i replaced it. But Sonic stage still can't find the device or was my replacement still broke... :(
Or maybe im doing something wrong?

I get the same problem with the Sony 256 MS Pro. From what I understand none of the MS Pros will work with atrac :(

Atrac will only work with memory sticks that have magic gate and are 128mb and under. It is a limitation in the Sony software that is the problem. It has never been updated to reflect the larger memory stick sizes. There are some 128mb MS Pro sticks out there, but I haven't tried them to see if they work with it or not.

IMO Sonic Stage is not worth using and the atrac format costs too much than what it offers. I just use CDex (free!) to rip my CDs to regular MP3 and copy them over to the MS. Everything works beautifully.
