hello,

i haven't used my th55 for ten days and today after filling the battery all night long, oh surprise the system has been totally reseted without asking me anything. It was like i was using it for first time: all the applications and files installed on the clié have been erased except the system applications provided with the clié.

so, is there someone who could tell me what happened ?

thanks

My guess would be you managed to drain all your battery and its back to factory default like when you first have it. Just charge it full and then sync it will got all apps and data from pc. Although some software will require the key again.

Your TH might have run out of juice all those days without you knowing it. When the battery on a Clie empties out, then receives some kind of charge, it will perform a reset on itself. I'm pretty confident that's what happened to you. Remember, your PDA will draw power from the battery even when it's off because all your info in RAM requires a small amount of power to keep them there. :)

The item that most frequently and quickly drains the battery on a PDA that is not be used is alarms. Even though you have left it in a drawer, the alarm is still going off, maybe 3 or more times for each alarm. Other applications like TheGo!Go! are known to cause a battery drain even when your Clie is not being used. Thus, if you are not going to be using your Clie for a lengthy period, be sure to disable all alarms and even remove apps that draw on the battery in a dormat state.
