I have a Tungsten E and it won't really turn on. I used a torx 5 screwdriver and took it apart. What happens is to turn it on, I press the reset button, the palm logo loads, tungstem words come up, and then it goes to the preference screen, and then suddenly it just shuts off. It doesn't have to do with the digitizer, I tried it with the digitizer unplugged and plugged in. It could possibly be battery-related, but I'm not sure.
Anybody else have this or seen this problem?

It sounds like the battery has a little short that swells as the power goes through it and eventually the anti-shorting circuitry shuts it off. Does it work while on AC power and battery unplugged?

I have an issue with my power button, I really (and I mean REALLY) have to push my button down to turn it on or off. You say you have taken your case apart, what did you find? Is it a case of things popping out everywhere or is it a clean removal process. I want to take mine apart to check out the button, but I was afraid I might not be able to "get everything back inside the box" as the saying goes.
Anyone have this problem and want to share a fix.
Thanks,
Wayne
