hey guys,
this might have already been mentioned before...but if you've ever had all your memory wiped out and had to hotsync your data...you'll know the hotsync doesn't back up all data...so there fore you should have this very small...only 5k app...that is free...

So hotsync doesn't do a 100% backup? What about the MSbackup app?

Hey Sanford, your kanji (Chinese characters) on that pic don't make sense. :) Better fix that rice burner to not give the riceboys a reason to giggle :)

Re: MSBackup, it does back up everything, but it's SLOW SLOW SLOW because it copies files one by one. Use JBBackup instead. It makes a full memory image, so when you restore your Clie, it goes back to its previous state. And it's timerable.

Dude, thanks for the tip on the memory stick backup and my goof on the kanji.

I have no idea what the correct kanji should be. Send me the proper one and I'll fix it up! Thanks

I stumbled across a program called BackupMan. It does scheduled automatic backups and individual file restores. Excellent stuff and costs $10. I had it registered almost as soon as I installed it. FWIW...

Not on mine.  I have problem with backing up QuickSheet data.

However, I still use it for the automatic schedule daily backup (at midnite) for some database that changes everyday like 2DMemoDB, DatebookDB, AddressDB, MemoDB, ToDoDB, ExpenseDB, LClipDB, Saved Preferences, Unsaved Preferences, WorldMate database, YapsDB.  So it is a nice complement to MSBackup.  I just do MSBackup for once a week or before installing new app.

So if my Clie crashes, I just restore the RAM with MSBackup follows with BBVFS.  The most data I would lose are the ones entered that day.

I prefer BB VFS myself. Though I think I have to schedule the backup for 6 or something considering I'm ususally up at 3am when its scheduled now.

I use BB VFS as well. EVERYTHING that is in RAM is on my card.
