Is there any way to read .lit (MS Reader Files) on my NR70?

Hmm. I haven't used such files but if there's a converter for windows then you'd convert it (.lit files) to text, html, or .doc format then reconvert them using something like AportisConverter to get them into pdb format. But there are plenty of other document to pdb converters out there as well.

Microsoft eBook format is supposed to be "secure," so I suspect whether we can convert or re-distribute its files (for personal use) under currect DMCA. Even if such program exists, Microsoft won't allow it to live long.

Errr, there is a converter available with an unfortunate name. Obviously it's going to be hard to find for obvious reasons. Take a look-see here:
