I have a brand-new TH55. I have been using Pocket PC so I have used Outlook for my address book and such. I want to use the Clie Organizer software if possible for my PIM, However, I don;t see how to get my Outlook data to my Clie. I really don't want to use Intellisync with Outlook unless I have to. Can both be synced possibly? Thanks!

Sorry but Intellisync is your only option. I use the Clie Organizer on my home PC, and Outlook 2003 on my work computer, no problems with them talking with each other, and I haven't lost any data. I don't use it for Email, so have no experience with that, however.
Just out of curiosity, why did you switch from the PPC to the Clie platform? I have been considering going the other way, and switching to an Ipaq 4150. I would be interested if it was technical, or other reasons. TIA

Well its a long story but the short of it is my first love has always been Clies. Great screen and long battery life. Now that Sony is leaving the PDA market I decided to pick one up. My last shot at it. In fact I had a 4150 and sold it. It gave me much trouble. I now have a Dell Axim X3i 400mz with Wifi and 256SD card. It is for sale if you are interested. $225 + shipping. I liked it better overall than the Ipaq. Great screen and good performance. Contact me if you need any additional info and thanks for your help

I do not use the Clie Organizer anymore (tried it, but prefer Agendus Pro), but based on my understanding, CO still uses the data from the Palm address book and other apps. I have tried Intellisync, however, and found it created problems in both my schedule and contacts after syncing. Additionally, I found its behaviour somewhat unreliable.
A much better conduit is Pocket Mirror developed by Chapura (http://www.chapura.com/pm_standard.php). They also have two more advanced versions available if you require more folder management, etc. than the standard version provides. It is a very stable app I rely upon daily, and was recommended by other 1src users to help me solve the problems created by Intellisync.
It's well worth a go.

Intellisync works well, except the task.
you will lose the inherited structure in task, after synchronizing it with your outlook,
